Yamazakura

Yamazakura whisky is produced by the Sasanokawa Shuzo distillery in Koriyama City, Japan. The distillery first began making sake and shochu in 1946, but began whisky production in 1946.

The name Yamazakura is take from the Japanese words "Yama" for "mountain" and "sakura" which are the cherry trees famous for their spectacular pink blossoms.
