Wray & Nephew

Wray & Nephew was established in 1825 when John Wray opened The Shakespeare Tavern in Kingston, Jamaica. A move of tremendous foresight, Kingston grew to become Jamaica's capital and the tavern saw huge success alongside it. Wray's nephew, James Ward, was brought in to run the business in 1860 who developed it into one of Jamaica's largest enterprises.

With huge international success, Wray & Nephew's White Overproof Rum is the world's best-selling high strength rum and is said to account for over 90% of all rum consumed in Jamaica.
