Strongbow

Strongbow cider has been produced by cider makers H.P. Bulmer since 1962. The cider takes its name from Earl of Pembroke, Richard de Clare, who earned the name 'Strongbow' for his tactical use of archers during the Norman invasion of Ireland.

Strongbow is the world's leading cider brand, accounting for a 15 per cent share of all cider sold worldwide and almost a third of all cider sold in the UK. The Strongbow vat at Bulmers' Hereford plant is the largest alcoholic container in the world, holding 1.5 million gallons.
