Jean-Michel Gaunoux

Jean-Michel Gaunoux hails from a family rooted in France's Cote d'Or for centuries with a rich heritage of viticulture and winemaking. The grandson of famed vigneron Henri Gaunoux, Jean-Michel began working alongside his father Francois on his Meursault estate before going his own way in 1990 to begin his own Domaine.

Jean-Michel Gaunoux holds 7 hectares of vineyards in Puligny, Volnay and Pommard, among which are five premier cru vineyards. Unlike many winemakers, Jean-Michel puts aside bottles in his cellar during good years to later offer fully matured vintages to his clients.
