Glengoyne 18 Year Old is a deep gold in colour with a rich glow. Fruity aromas of red apple, ripe melon and a little light grassiness. The time spent in casks has imparted a distinct spiciness, too. Round and full-bodied on the palate, the flavours are a seamless melding of sherry and malt. Macerated fruit, marzipan and walnuts lead into warming spices and cocoa. Sweet notes of vanilla and marmalade linger in the finish. The 18 Year Old is blended from 35% first fill European Oak Sherry casks, 15% first fill American Oak Sherry casks and the remainder hand-selected quality Oak Refill casks.
