Four Roses Single Barrel has a balanced, rich, fruity nose. There's notes of spices and chocolate, toffee and vanilla. On the palate you get tart stone fruits, prunes, spices, morello cherries, cocoa and vanilla. It finishes with notes of oak, chocolate and butterscotch. Single Barrel is bottled from a single cask aged between 8-9 years old, that has a higher percentage of rye in the mashbill. It is made exclusively using the higher rye content recipe (OB) and the yeast variant 'V' which imparts light and delicate fruity flavours. Each bottle records the barrel number and the warehouse code of where that barrel was aged. |
