The Noble Mud Pie is a fantastically indulgent, and wonderfully rich and complex dessert wine. It has a nose that's reminiscent of dried apricots, and that's just the beginning of a vinous journey full of excess. The palate is equally dominated by these very forward apricot notes. You then get a complexion of flavours including ginger bread, tinned pineapple, honey, cinnamon and cumquat. The weight of the wine is unrivalled, but the flavour explosion is neatly dragged back into check by the crisp acidic backbone. A delicious dessert wine. Once opened, the bottle is unlikely to see out the evening! |
