The grenache character most prominent on the nose with copious amounts of raspberry fruit. Its succulence is balanced by fine tannins and good acidity. The finish is distinguished by spice and blackcurrant. The Southern Rhone wine region from which this wine comes is known for the galets roules or 'pudding stones' that cover the ground, allowing for heat retention to help enhance ripening of the grapes. |
