Background: Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia is a time honoured family tradition; the family sets aside the very best of it's tequila to age in a private cellar, in new American and French oak barrels until it reaches the very peak of excellence. This Reserva de la Familia was always kept to be shared with close family and friends, but today you are welcomed to join the tradition. Only the finest estate reserve blue agaves are selected, baked in clay ovens, and thereafter the agave honey is left to ferment before undergoing a slow double distillation. Although it is aged for a minimum of two years, some of the tequila in the blend is drawn from reserves up to 30 years old. |
