Boodles

Boodles gin, named after Boodle's gentleman's club in London, was founded in 1845. It is significant as one of the gins which shaped the modern London Dry style of gin, as well as reputedly the favourite gin of Sir Winston Churchill.

Unusually, Boodles gin does not contain any citrus botanicals. This was a practical choice by those who first crafted the recipe, working on the expectation that a gin cocktail would usually have a slice of lemon or lime.
