Mars Maltage Cosmo is a Blended Malt Whisky produced at the Shinsu distillery in the Japanese alps. Named after a mountain in the Kiso range, the whisky is a blend of single malt whisky from the Shinshu distillery itself with other undisclosed single malts. An unusual practice among Japanese distilleries who traditionally have opted not to source malts from others. A sweet and elegant profile with fresh orchard fruit aromas. On the palate, dark fruit flavours and sherry notes with occasional wisps of smoky tobacco. The gentle sweetness slowly fades in a long and lingering finish. |
