Description

Description:

Ki No Bi Kyoto Dry Gin is the world's first genuine Japanese gin. The name translates as "The Beauty of the Seasons", it is inspired by tradition and artisanally crafted in Kyoto. The gin is, unusually, based on a rice spirit and draws on local Japanese botanicals such as yellow yuzu, hinoki (cypress wood), sansho pepper, bamboo leaf and gyokuro tea. Finally, the gin is blended with the exceptional water of Fushimi, long famous for its fine sake brewing. The flavour of Ki No Bi speaks of its origins. The citrus notes of yuzu are prominent at the fore. These flavours fade into a more earthy profile with a somewhat mentholic note. In the finish, a more bitter herbal note shines through. This is an exceptional first foray by Japan into the world of gin, bringing a decidedly new flavour profile to delight gin enthusiasts and experimental mixologists alike. The bottles comes presented in a black Ki No Bi Kyoto box.
