	Description: A superb deep ruby colour and intense cassis, mulberry, plum and redcurrant fruit flavours are combined with secondary characters such as cedar and spice from ageing in oak barrels. This wine has ripe, firm tannins and a rich, supple texture. After a brief settling period to clarify the wine, it was put into small oak barrels, predominantly French, of which 30% were new. Regular three-monthly racking followed to clarify the wines. After twenty months in barrel, the individual components were assessed and blended. The resulting blend was bottled in December 2001. Grape Variety: 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc. Background: 2000 was a very good vintage in the Gimblett Gravels area with the weather behaving until harvesting was complete. Harvest timing was normal with all grapes for this wine picked by the 5th of April. BUY 6 FOR £12.49 EACH. SAVE OVER 10.5%
