The palate is equally open and fleshy with lots of fruit and little tannin. Wonderfully soft and accessible, plenty of character backed by good balancing acidity. Grape Variety: 100% Gamay Carbonique maceration is the key to Beaujolais wines' success. The wines are fermented, with only the skins opened, as opposed to crushed or pressed. Through this type of fermentation the Gamay grapes true, delicate flavours perform. Once the short fermentation is complete the wines are racked and filtered prior to a short rest in the bottle before being released. Background: Louis Tete is one of the largest negociant houses in Beaujolais, dealing in wines from Beaujolais itself and also in the wines from the nearby Maçonnais. The House is now owned and run by Jean Tete, son of Louis, the founder of the dynasty. Jean has built on his fathers success, buying vineyards and establishing a reputation as one of the finest tasters in the whole of the region.
