Deep red in colour with a persistent crimson mousse, the Leasingham Sparkling Shiraz reveals rich complex mix of berry fruit with fine oak and yeast. This is a powerful Shiraz with great age and depth. This sparkling wine displays a rich and luscious palate finishing with fine tannin balance.

Winemaker's Notes -
Fruit was carefully picked from 30-year-old vines, in a cool to moderate area of the Clare Valley. A vertical double wire trellising system has allowed maximum exposure to the sun, allowing full fruit flavours to develop, while cool nights have maintained refined elegance and a structured palate. After fermentation in static stainless steel fermenters at 22 - 27 degrees, the base wine was aged in a combination of old and new French oak barriques and puncheons for 2 years. A continuation of Classic Clare style this wine exhibits the great depth and elegance of shiraz from the Clare Valley.

Established in 1893, Leasingham Wines has been an integral part of Clare Valley for over 100 years. Today, Leasingham's 300 hectares vineyards located to the north and south of Clare provide the premium fruit, which along with the winemaking commitment and expertise enable Leasingham to produce outstanding, award winning regional wines.
