Sensation of dry fruits and prunes on the nose with aromas of berries and cloves. Notes of violets and deep and long finish. Round and full palate which creates a perfect harmony with a persistent finis which recalls the taste of Agen prunes. A considerable personality, the perfect level of maturity and a characteristic taste of "rancio" identify the XO Royal. Background: Janneau XO Royal is a blend (assemblage) of Armagnac aged for a minimum of 12 to 25 years. The white wines come from the best vineyards of the Appellation Controlée: Bas Armagnac and Tenarèze which are then distilled using mainly the single distillation method (80%) and double distillation (20%). The 'eaux-de-vie' are aged separately at the Janneau ancient cellars, mainly in Limousin oak casks, and then blended together before bottling .
