	Description: An enticing fragrance of dusky dark fruits - black cherries, plums and berries intermingles with rich earthy aromas, mocha and exotic spices. The intensely varietal palate of ripe red and black fruit has charry oak flavours and plush velvety tannins that clothe a tautly structured frame. Cloudy Bay Pinot Noir 2006 reflects the benefits of a naturally low-cropping season and finishes with great length and depth of flavour. Grapes for this wine were sourced from the southern side of the Wairau Valley including the Brancott, Fairhall and Ben Morven sub-regions. The soils, including the aged alluvial gravels of the Brancott Valley, are relatively free draining, with some clay content. 2006 Harvest: Seven clones of pinot noir were hand harvested according to individual ripeness, with the first picked on the 10th of March and the last on the 28th of March.
