Aromas of dried pear and citrus peel intertwine with hazelnuts and white chocolate to add depth to this wine's exotic musky fragrance.
The Cloudy Bay Gewurztraminer 2004 has a voluptuous palate with a crème caramel richness, beautifully counterbalanced by a chalky minerality, finishing with impressive length and concentration.
Grapes were sourced from estate vineyards at Rapaura and in the Brancott Valley. Soils range from recently formed stony free-draining silts to more elevated and aged silty/clay loams.
2004 Harvest:
The fruit was hand-harvested on the 15th and 16th of April. Fruit condition was very good, with excellent physiological ripeness.
