A limited edition of the Chairmans Reserve rum. On 2 May 2007, St Lucia Distillers was struck by a major fire which destroyed most of their administration and blending facilities. Mercifully most of the distillery was spared but great problems were encountered with storage space for casks. In the events that followed, the cellar master, Cyril Mangal, was forced to find space for ageing casks in the most unusual places. Having done so, the cellar team had a memory lapse and forgot the casks that had been laid down for the award winning rum; Chairmans Reserve. These casks being discovered recently and on tasting were found to contain a wonderfully complex rum which has been produced as a limited edition release.
