	Description: The Pinot Noir shows great power and vinosity, while the Chardonnay brings a touch of freshness. This wine has excellent structure and power, without being unduly heavy. It has developed, atypical Pinot Noir aromas of honey, acacia and chestnuts. A superb nose and a fabulous palate: this vintage is amongst the best of the 1990's. Blend of Grapes: 80% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay. Production: Made almost exclusively from Grands Cru vineyards (from 17 villages which are rated at 100% on the échelle des crus scale, out of the 326 cru's of Champagne). Pinot Noir accounts for 80% of the blend, being sourced from Aÿ (cru 100%) and Mareuil sur Aÿ (cru 99%). Chardonnay accounts for 20% of the blend. It is sourced from Mesnil sur Oger, Cramant and Chouilly (one third each, all grands crus). Ageing: This wine has been aged for more than 6 years in the Ayala cellars.
