'Five Star Wines - Typically made from around 75 per cent pinot noir and 25 per cent chardonnay, this sparkling wine has, since its inception in the mid-1980s, consistently scored highly in the best-value stakes. It’s also proved a popular export. Made in the methode champenoise style, the wine is fresh, crisp with a fine bead, lively but restrained acidity and dry finish. There are aromas and flavours of citrus and some yeastiness from the bottle fermentation. Drink well-chilled, while fresh and young.
