Chilean White Wine
Description:
Highly aromatic, displaying grassy and green herb fragrances alongside a pungent, tropical character. The palate is medium bodied and juicy, dry, with a crisp edge and a well defined, fruit driven structure, finishing refreshing and elegant.
Background:
The 620 hectare site of Amaral borders the Maipo River and the Pacific Ocean. The Humboldt current brings cold winds from the Pacific, and the site benefits from maritime breezes, fog and cold evening temperatures The wines produced here are described by winemaker Jaime De La Cerda as 'Whites from the Edge' as they owe their crisp acidity to the strong coastal influences here.
'...crisp and clean as a whistle.'
